On this Memorial Day, our nation gathers to remember the fallen who served our nation with valor. Days such as these bring back memories of loved ones who have gone before us.
In times like these, where do we draw our strength? As believers, we find strength in the Lord.
Here are three things God gives those who grieve.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles
But you, LORD, do not be far from me. You are my strength; come quickly to help me.
Remember, grieving is good. That may sound like an odd statement but there is a great truth in the fact that grieving is good. Grieving is good because it show that love is stronger than death.
On this Memorial Day, think about that!
